The sky was dreary and it was raining on Tuesday at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center.
But once the sun comes out, the hospital plans to put its rays to good use.
The hospital has been using an array of newly-implemented solar panels sprawling across seven acres of its campus just off I-81 in Montgomery County since December.
