One Year After Maryland Confirmed its First Three Coronavirus Cases, the State’s Caseload has Surpassed 385,000

One year ago today, Gov. Larry Hogan announced the first three confirmed cases of coronavirus in Maryland.

In the year since the pandemic hit Maryland, state officials have confirmed a total of 385,678 positive COVID-19 cases, including 913 cases that were newly reported Friday morning.

A total of 3,024,949 Marylanders have tested negative for the virus to date, according to the Maryland Department of Health’s COVID-19 Case Map Dashboard.
