Crestline Investors, Inc., a credit focused institutional alternative asset manager, has named Chris Semple a Partner of the firm. Semple, who joined Crestline in 2011 as Director and Associate Portfolio Manager, is a member of Crestline’s Opportunistic and Private Credit Strategies team.
“Chris has been instrumental in expanding these strategies, which have grown dramatically and now employ 17 people in the U.S. and five in Europe. We are delighted to have Chris as a member of the Partnership,” said Douglas Bratton, Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Crestline.
Crestline’s Opportunistic and Credit Strategies group focuses on providing capital solutions to lower middle market and middle market companies, ranging from senior secured loans to junior capital in performing and distressed situations.
In total, investors have committed $5 billion to Crestline’s Credit and Opportunistic strategies.

Semple joined Crestline from Goldman Sachs & Co., where he was a Vice President in their Special Situations Group. Before that, he was with TQA Investors. Semple has a BA in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Urgent Team Holdings, Inc., Carepayment Technologies, Inc. Clinipace Worldwide, Inc. and Leading Pharma, LLC.
