Tournament Finale Event Featured Exhibition by Professional Ping Pong Players

Nearly 130 amateur ping pong players took part in Fisher Brothers’ second annual ping pong tournament held at Park Avenue Plaza. The tournament culminated in the championship event, in which the iconic tower’s public arcade was transformed into a ping pong arena, complete with an emcee, music by a live DJ, and bleacher seating for spectators to take in all the action.
Hosted by Fisher Brothers, in partnership with ping pong social club SPiN New York, employees from the companies in Fisher Brothers’ four Manhattan office buildings were invited to participate in the contest.

“At Fisher Brothers, we strive to create a vibrant community for our tenants that encourages socializing outside the traditional office space,” said Fisher Brothers Partner Winston Fisher.“After the enthusiastic response from our tenants last year, we knew we had to make this tournament an annual event.”
After a week of fierce competition, Aakash Shah of BlackRock emerged the winner, edging out Emm Pakdee, his coworker from BlackRock, for the championship. Dennis Lee, also of BlackRock, finished in third place.

Over 150 spectators attended the finale event to cheer on their colleagues. Attendees were also treated to an exhibition game between professional players Michael Landers, the youngest U.S. National Champion, and Matt Suchy, a world-renowned player and coach.
