John P. Koch.PE, Associate Partner

John Koch has been with JB&B for over ten years, and was one of Commercial Observer’s 2017 Top 20 Architects, Engineers and Construction Pros under 35. He has led the electrical engineering design process on projects across a wide variety of market sectors, including higher education, commercial office and financial institutions, among them 4 World Trade Center and the John Jay College of Criminal Justice expansion. His focus in recent years has increasingly been on the healthcare sector, where he has served as overall Project Manager for a number of notable projects,including the David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care at Memorial Sloan Kettering and theHospital for Special Surgery.

Mr. Koch is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New York and a U.S. Green Building Council member. He is also a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College.

Richard J. Weindel.PE, Associate Partner

Richard Weindel joined JB&Bin 1996 and has been involved in the design and development of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems across a wide range of projects,includingmulti-use commercial developments, educational and cultural institutions.Weindel has been Project Engineer and Project Manager for World Trade Center Towers One and 7, as well as 7 Bryant Park, the Butler Library renovation at Columbia University and TheShed at Hudson Yards, all in New York. Additionally, he has worked on numerous financial facilities, including Reuters Americas Holdings at 3 Times Square and ING at 1133 Avenue of the Americas in New York, NY.

Weindel holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Engineering at ColumbiaUniversity and is a LEED Accredited Professional andlicensed Professional Engineer in the State of New York. He is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
