Tessler Developments’ One Seventy Two Madison Receives TCO

5/24/17

Tessler Developments, a New York City-based developer of ultra-luxury condominium developments, announced the much-anticipated One Seventy Two Madison residential tower, located on the northwest corner of 33rd Street, has received its TCO, and that closings have begun.

Now that the NoMad project has its TCO, buyers are scheduling closings and already moving into their new residences and pieds-à-terre, excited to settle in, and enjoy a full summer in One Seventy Two Madison while exploring the surrounding neighborhoods, according to Compass Development, which assumed sales of the project in February.

“We are pleased to be delivering finished homes at One Seventy Two Madison,” said Yitzchak Tessler, President of Tessler Developments. “The ability to offer new construction buyers a move-in ready product is certainly something to get excited about.”

Currently, there are less than 10 move-in ready, new construction sponsor units available around the NoMad area, while buyer interest in the vicinity has been flaming, from those eager for gorgeous, thoughtfully-designed new condos, close to all that makes NoMad special: delicious dining at all levels and cuisines types, parks, shopping, culture, and access to all NYC transit, tunnels, transportation hubs of Grand Central and Penn Stations and Port Authority as well as NYC airports, for busy business and leisure travelers or reverse commuters desiring an urban life, no matter where work calls them.

“Buyers can now close on these expansive residences,” said Billy Goldstein, Managing Director of Compass Development. “This building offers a variety of living options, the highly-centralized location of NoMad and now the ability to sign a contract and move-in immediately.”

The luxury condominium’s 72 units enjoy the convenience of a full-time doorman, concierge, resident lounge, outdoor plaza, pool, Jacuzzi, steam rooms, health club, club room, pet spa and playroom. Storage is available for resident purchase.

A modern interpretation of the neighborhood’s rich history, with vertical stone columns punctuating the tower’s glass façade, the boutique building is designed with no more than three residences per floor. In addition to the one-, two- and three-bedroom homes, there are four, full-floor penthouses with terraces, as well as the full-floor Mansion with its own pool, and the triplex SkyHouse, which tops the tower with its private pool and private elevator to access the three floors as an alternative to its sweeping interior staircase. Ceiling heights start at 11’ in the residences, 18' in the penthouses and soar to 23’ in the SkyHouse, while floor-to-ceiling windows allow the sun and views to pour into the lofty interiors.

The Molteni kitchens include a comprehensive Miele appliance package, as well as a wine cooler in every residence, and are available in two schemes – a “light” with high gloss white lacquer cabinets and Statuary Quartz slab countertops, or “dark” with stained oak and darker gloss cabinets and Luce de Luna limestone slab countertops.

“It’s been very 50/50 who is picking the light versus the dark color schemes, but what is universal is the delight in the high ceilings, sheer size of the homes compared to much of the new construction being built, the amenities and the vibrant location,” said Tinnie Chan Sassano, Sales Director for One Seventy Two Madison, who is leading on-site sales through Compass Development, along with Kelly Robinson, Associate Broker with Compass Development.

Master bathrooms feature Bianco Neve marble walls and Ann Sacks mosaic accents, Dornbracht polished chrome fixtures, a Toto toilet and Zuma tubs. Each residence has a powder room with a honed Portoro marble countertop, Globe Bone porcelain tile floors and chiseled limestone accent wall. Every unit is smart home wired and includes a washer and dryer.
