Real estate developer Michael Dezer has officially opened the Fort Lauderdale Auto Museum at Xtreme Action Park, South Florida’s premiere indoor entertainment complex. The Fort Lauderdale Auto Museum is the latest car adventure for Dezer, who also owns locations in Miami and Las Vegas.
This Museum features five collections for locals and tourists to enjoy. Imagine yourself on the streets of old New York City with the Roaring 30’s collection. Get lost in the feel and look of Cuba while touring the Havana Nights Collection. Reminisce on all of your favorite action movies while looking at the iconic cars in the Hollywood “Movie Car” Collection. Pay homage to our U.S. heroes on wheels as you tour the Military Salute Collection. Check out the Delorean from “Back to the Future” and military vehicles from World War II. The vehicles across all three locations are from Dezer’s personal collection, which is estimated at 1,600 cars housed at three locations in Ft Lauderdale, Miami and Las Vegas.
Highlights of the museum include iconic vehicles from the world-famous James Bond movies. Dezer owns the world's largest privately owned collection of James Bond vehicles - many others can be viewed at Dezer's Miami Auto Museum. Other vehicles displayed in the museum include a huge collection of microcars from around the world, some custom made, and a superb Rolls Royce gathering.
Additional outstanding features include the famous Nautilus car from 'League of Extraordinary Gentlemen being 22-feet long and 8-feet wide. Several of the vehicles were sourced from around the globe while others were custom made exclusively for Dezer by Hollywood, California-based Jay Ohrberg. Ohrberg creates cars for top-tier shows and movies such as "Batman Returns", "Knight Rider", "Back to the Future" and "Robcop".
The 30,000-square-foot venue is not only home to some of the rarest automobiles but also serves as an ideal backdrop for events. The venue can be transformed for galas, seated dinners, cocktail receptions, birthdays, corporate gatherings, galleries and more.
With Dezer’s passion for charity, the Museum includes art installations throughout the space with paintings and sculptures from around the world. He has also commissioned local artists to add their own personal touches to the museum. The museum will continue to house up-and-coming artists to provide a home and outlet for them to exhibit their work.
Dezer plans on rotating his collection between his Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Las Vegas museums to maintain significant foot traffic throughout all spaces and attract local car enthusiasts.
Tickets for entry are $25 for general public, $10 for Florida Residents, and $10 with purchase of $15 of activities and games within Xtreme Action Park.
