International law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP announced today that Brian Gingold has joined as a partner in the Firm’s global Private Equity practice. He is based in Weil’s New York office.

Mr. Gingold joins Weil from Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP, where he was a partner in the firm’s New York office in its Corporate Department focusing on the Private Equity practice. He has extensive experience representing a broad range of private equity firms and their portfolio companies in acquisitions, sales, strategic partnerships and the full array of complex transactions. Prior to joining Gibson Dunn in 2010, he was an associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. Mr. Gingold graduated cum laude in 2000 from the University of Michigan School of Law, where he was a member of The Journal of Law Reform and received the Solomon Nadler Award for outstanding work related to commercial law, corporate law and securities regulation and the Board Award for Excellence in Legal Writing and Oral Advocacy.
