CBRE Group, Inc. announced that Stewart I. Weston has joined CBRE Capital Markets as executive vice president. Based in Newport Beach, Mr. Weston will focus on enhancing the firm’s institutional multifamily investment sales presence across Southern California.
Mr. Weston is an accomplished real estate professional with more than 25 years of experience in multifamily investment sales. He will report to Chris Akins, senior managing director, CBRE Capital Markets, who has responsibility for the firm’s multifamily sales platform in the U.S.
Mr. Weston joins CBRE from Marcus & Millichap where he was responsible for apartment investment sales in the region. During his tenure at Marcus & Millichap, Mr. Weston transacted in excess of $3 billion in sales. John Montakab, vice president, and two support staff also join Mr. Weston at CBRE.

Mr. Weston is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with concentrations in finance and real estate. He is a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council.
