Ideal Properties Group, a leading Brooklyn real estate firm, today announced that it will be hosting a weekend of local art, shopping, music and celebration at Gowanus Lofts and Galleries.
The Gowanus Lofts and Galleries building will be opening its doors from August 26 to 28, 2016 to a weekend-long art exhibit and artists’ pop-up shop. Curated by Gowanus-based artist Dylan Bauver, this event will bring together a select and diverse group of some of Brooklyn's most notable talent.
“As a Brooklyn born and bred firm, we are thrilled to be hosting this event showcasing our borough’s own visionaries,” stated Aleksandra Scepanovic, Managing Director of Ideal. “We are sure attendees will enjoy the local art, music and food in this beautifully restored European-style building.”
Lofts and Galleries Building is a former carriage house, dating back to the early 1850s. It was recently transformed by designer Reziel Friedman, founder of Kool Instincts, into 14 loft-type gallery/showroom and office spaces available for short and long term leases.
The events of the weekend include:
- Opening Reception Friday 8/26 from 6-11pm: Come meet and mingle with the artists while enjoying drinks and complimentary food from local area restaurants
- Saturday 8/27 from 6-11pm: Join Ideal for a night of music, cocktails and shopping
- Sunday 8/28 from 1-6pm: Live mural painting and pop-up shop
The select and diverse group of talent include: Shannon Zackmon, Steven Hake, Jack Cox, David Arms, Ray Fontaine, Izzy Nova, Ida Stein, Ian Sullivan, Tony Geiger, L'vis Jhon,
Eelco Van Den Berg, Lucciola, Jesse EBNTC5 G'arced, Seze Devres, Diego G, Francesca E. Veres, Alex Salzberg, Danny Perez, Lily Ray, Freakstik13, Dudley Salmon and Denny Ingraham.
The Gowanus Lofts and Galleries building is located at 61 9th Street, Brooklyn. There is be parking in the rear of the complex.
