Lilker Associates Consulting Engineers, P.C., a national engineering firm, has signed a long-term lease for 24,000 square feet at 1001 Avenue of the Americas in Midtown. Lilker has occupied the location since 1998 and will expand from the 17,000 square feet it currently leases.

After surveying the entire market, the Savills Studley team identified an opportunity within the company’s existing building that allows the firm to grow while maintaining its day-to-day business operations. In addition, Savills Studley assisted in negotiating a favorable renewal package that will help finance the renovation of the firm’s existing layout to a more contemporary open plan design.

“Lilker scoured the submarket for a newly-renovated space to accommodate the firm’s growth plans in Manhattan,” said Savills Studley’s Corporate Managing Director Scott Weiss, who arranged the transaction with Executive Managing Director Erik Schmall. “Through our negotiations, the space at 1001 Avenue of the Americas proved to provide the right mix of building quality, flexibility and price.”
