Trinity Hunt Partners, a Dallas-based private equity firm, today announced the promotion of Blake Apel to Principal, as well as the addition of Garrett Greer as a new Vice President with the Trinity Hunt team.

Blake Apel was promoted from Vice President to Principal. Apel has executed eight platform investments at Trinity Hunt, currently serving on the Board of Directors of Lakeview Health, Deposition Solutions and Family Help & Wellness, and actively involved in the firm’s investments in America’s Auto Auction and Auction Credit Enterprises. Apel joined Trinity Hunt in 2007 from Bain & Company. He spent three years with the firm before leaving to pursue his M.B.A., ultimately rejoining the firm to continue his private equity career. Apel received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Vanderbilt University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

With a background in middle market private equity, Garrett Greer joins Trinity Hunt from Lone Star Investment Advisors where he served as a Vice President, managing six portfolio companies and actively participating in deal evaluation. Greer was previously with Insight Equity, American Capital, and Imperial Capital. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Masters in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas, as well as a Master of Business Administration from The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. As a Vice President, Greer will assist in sourcing, deal execution and portfolio company growth initiatives.
