Flashpoint, the global leader in Deep & Dark Web data and intelligence, has appointed cyber security industry luminary Chris Camacho as the company's Chief Strategy Officer. Camacho will be responsible for developing, leading, and implementing cross-functional strategic initiatives across the company. He will ensure that all facets of the company, from product to sales to marketing, are aligned with the company's strategic vision to deliver the most salient intelligence to its customers to help them understand and mitigate risk.

Camacho brings extensive 'in the trenches' cyber security practitioner experience to this new role. He was previously Senior Vice President of Global Information Security at Bank of America, where he led the Threat Management Team. He was an active member of the FS-ISAC Threat Intelligence Committee and is a respected collaborator and industry leader within the information security community.

"I am thrilled to be joining Flashpoint, a company experiencing tremendous growth due to its ability to deliver insights that no one else in the market has, that fills a significant gap in security intelligence that many organizations have been struggling with for years," said Camacho. "I'll approach this new role leveraging the same methods I used to build successful security practices: bringing together talented people, inspiring them to work towards a common goal, and adapting to meet the challenges of addressing the ever changing cyber security landscape as the business grows and matures."

"Chris brings a unique perspective and network to this new role," said Josh Lefkowitz, CEO and co-founder of Flashpoint. "He is a key influencer in the cyber security community for his ability to identify the needs of the industry and bring the right people together to develop a strategy to address those needs and execute on it. We couldn't be more delighted that Chris will now be applying that same focus and ability to help Flashpoint ensure that our customers effectively leverage Deep & Dark Web data and intelligence to dramatically improve their overall security posture."

Prior to his work at Bank of America, Camacho worked at the World Bank Group for 12 years and led initiatives across several security functions, including Incident Response, Forensic Investigations, Security Operations Centers, and Operational Strategy, aligning the World Bank Group's cyber risk posture with the business. He helped develop and implement security technology initiatives and projects across the World Bank Group from inception through implementation and established partnerships in both the public and private sectors for better collaboration and information sharing. In this role, he was responsible for delivering relevant intelligence within the World Bank Group to assist Central Banks around the world in bolstering their cyber security. Camacho received his degree in Decision Sciences and Management of Information Systems from George Mason University.
